My Version: Bridges.
My Version chats to stars and people of influence to give a glimpse into their time as a teen and see the things they are currently obsessed with!
Say hello to Aotearoa indie-pop artist, Bridges, who has just released her debut EP TWENTY SOMETHING.
Obsessed RN.

Favourite Insta account to follow:
Must have beauty product:
Oh definitely mascara!
The item of clothing I’m definitely over wearing:
Overalls - they’re just so dang comfy.
Currently reading:
I’m very slowly making my way through ‘I’m Glad My Mom Died’ by Jennette McCurdy.
Snacking on:
EVERYTHING lol but mostly anything chocolate 😅
Can’t stop watching on TikTok:

Dreaming of:
A holiday, any holiday 😂
Next place on the list to travel to:
New York.
I’m currently inspired by:
Passionate people who care deeply about others. In music, life, community, politics. Whenever I come across people like this, I feel super inspired to do the same
My favourite way to relax is:
Watching a good show, in bed, with a good snack, my cat, nothing on my to do list, and maybe a glass of wine (if I’m feeling fancy 💆♀️)
I stay healthy by:
Going to psychotherapy every week 💛
When I was younger…
One thing I love about Gen-Z is:
How passionate, thoughtful and incredibly switched onto it this generation is. I love hanging out with Gen-Z - we always have great, meaningful and hilarious chats!
If I could give my teenage self one bit of advice, what would it be:
Oh my gosh that’s a hard one. Teenage me needed so much advice haha. If I could pick one, it’d probably be ‘trust yourself.’ Listen to what your gut is telling you and question other people’s advice if it isn’t feeling right.
My favourite part of being a teenager was:
Getting to hang out with my friends every day!
My first job was:
A paper run.
My dream job as a teen was:
To be a songwriter & musician.
Best piece of advice I ever received as a teen was:
Say yes to the job/project/opportunity/adventure, then figure it out later. I very often felt like I wasn’t good enough or qualified enough for things when they got presented in front of me - so it was great advice to just ignore all of that, and then work really hard to make sure I was ready!
My biggest fashion faux-pas was:
Omg, fleece hoodies with velcro up by the neck. I honestly have no idea what I was thinking 😂
My biggest inspiration was:
My high school teacher, Tanja Grzeta.
